Energy Performance Certificates have been a requirement for all homes placed on the market for sale since February 2007 and are issued as part of the Home Information Pack. EPCs detail a property’s Energy Efficiency Rating and Environmental Impact (CO2) rating, allowing interested parties to see how costly the home may be to heat. EPCs can also be used to help reduce bills and CO2 emissions.
